How do I accrue miles using Uppward?: We require two check-ins, one from your departure airport before you take off, and one from your arrival airport upon landing. We verify these via GPS.
Are my Uppward miles transferable for goods or services?: Yes they are! Check out our Rewards page Redeem miles here!
How do I access Uppward?: Simply visit the iTunes store for a free download. Download it here!
How long do I have to check-in at my arrival for my miles to be awarded?: You have 48 hours to complete the trip on Uppward. We will prompt you via email if we do not notice a check-in on arrival as a friendly reminder so you receive your miles.
Can I sync Uppward with my existing TripIt account?: Sure! If you're already a TripIt user, simply log in to your Uppward account here on the website and look for the TripIt icon. Click that, and you'll be asked to verify your TripIt username and password. Once you're synced, all of your upcoming TripIt flights will be automatically imported into your Uppward account. After all, why should you have to add them in two places?
I wasn't able to check-in to my departure and/or arrival airport. Can you credit me miles?: We only credit miles when there is an error or bug with the app itself. Factors outside our control, such as loss of connectivity between your mobile device and a cellular, data or Wi-Fi network or issues with your phone's GPS lock, don't qualify for credits. To claim miles, or if you feel there was an error with the app, please contact us and we'd be happy to resolve the issue.
How come I can’t check in to my departure airport on my mobile before I get to the airport?: Access to checking in is restricted to within 10 miles of airports.
I was too busy to remember to complete one of my check-ins. Can you still just give me my miles?: Sorry, but we require the two valid check-ins in order for you to accrue your miles.
Can I accrue Uppward miles without making my flights public?: Absolutely, simply turn off the sharing functionality or do not “shout” out when you check in.
The app crashed and I wasn't able to complete my flight(s). Can you still give me those miles?: Please contact us using this form with your flight information and we'll look into the issue. If we can verify your attempted check-in and prove that there was a system error, we will make sure to credit those miles to your account.
